This private reference site is not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, obtain an official record, or decide whether a record may be released. Contact the public office that holds the record instead.

Official Josephine Records Contacts

The Josephine County Sheriff's Office operates the Adult Jail and Records Division. Use the official records route for a focused booking, arrest, report, or related county request. A photo is subject to Oregon's separate booking-photo law, so request a responsive record rather than assuming an image is available.

For a state-prison or covered community-corrections record, use Oregon DOC's public-records process. A federal or immigration custody question belongs with the relevant federal locator, not the county jail.

Choose the Right Record Route

Different offices hold different records. Starting with the right custodian reduces delay and avoids sending a request to an agency that cannot answer it.

  • For the county roster, date-range search, booking record, photo-law explanation, court path, and federal or DOC boundary, read the home guide.
  • For a known warrant concern, use the official court and sheriff route explained on Sheriff's Most Wanted.
  • For a story, an agency release, or local reporting lead, use Mugshots in the News before checking the responsible official record.
  • For Grants Pass Police-held incident material, use the city police report process. For Cave Junction city administrative material, use the city form, but neither replaces a JCSO booking request.
  • For a person sentenced to Oregon custody or covered supervision, use Oregon Offender Search or a DOC records request. For federal or ICE detention, use the BOP or ICE locator.

Booking and court information can change. A public official, not this site, is the source that can explain the current status of its records.
